SSH profiles

SSH profiles are used to group the SSH keys of your team members. An SSH key can be assigned to one or more SSH profiles.

TIP

Please make sure to give each SSH profile a unique short and concise name.

Click on «New SSH Profile» and assign one or more SSH keys to it. All SSH keys of the members of your current team are available for selection, even if they have not been verified yet.

After that, you can assign the SSH profile to a hosting under menu item «SSH Access». If you change the SSH keys of an existing SSH profile, they will also be changed in all assigned hostings. However, only the verified/active SSH keys are deployed!

FAQ

Sorry, I didn't get it yet! What exactly is the benefit of an SSH profile compared to the administration of single SSH keys?

It's simply an additional way for central SSH key administration. If you work as a web agency in a team and you maintain a larger number of hostings at Onlime GmbH, we recommend you to create e.g. SSH profile webdevs and assign it to all hostings. If the composition of the team changes in the future, you only need to add/remove the members here, not on each hosting! That's it.

And where do I upload the SSH keys?

Every user can upload his SSH keys (public keys) in his own user profile.
