limeDRIVE
FTP accounts
Under «FTP accounts» you can create extra FTP(S) users in addition to your primary FTP access web999. Those can be limited to a specific directory and also as read-only access.
Please refer to our detailed instructions: FTP accounts
WebDAV
In addition to FTP(S), you can activate WebDAV. WebDAV is implemented in most file managers. Under Windows as well as MacOS and Linux, WebDAV is supported like a conventional file system, i.e. you can integrate your limeDRIVE directly into the system (mount it as a drive).
Activate WebDAV and connect with the following parameters:
- Protocol: WebDAV HTTPS
- Server:
web999-dav.onlime.ch - Username:
web999 - Password: (analog FTPS)
ATTENTION
If you have several limeDRIVE hostings, you must use the corresponding server name for each hosting. The user name is always part of the server name. This is for security reasons and is unavoidable.
In contrast to the FTP accounts, you cannot create multiple users for WebDAV. The user web999 has full access to your hosting under both FTP(S) and WebDAV.
Web (publish)
Activate this option if you want to publish your data via the web. Your files will then be accessible under the following URL: https://web999.onlime.ch
A limeDRIVE can't be used as full featured web hosting! You can only offer files for download via the web (https), but HTML files are not displayed. Your hosting is also not suitable for running web applications under PHP. If you want to publish a website or web application, you need a conventional hosting subscription (limeBASIC or limePRO).
Autoindex
If you have activated Web (publish) and the Autoindex option, the directory contents of your folders will be displayed. This is particularly helpful if you want to offer several files for download but don't have the time to create a website with the download links.
This setting applies globally for your entire limeDRIVE hosting and cannot be switched on/off separately for each directory at this point.
TIP
Autoindex corresponds to Apache's Options +Indexes (see Apache documentation on Options Directive). We also allow you to set Options +Indexes directly in a specific directory via .htaccess. For security reasons, however, we prevent you from changing the other Options via .htaccess
